No Sound.... The onboard sound is not working. I had to reinstall the operating system...using Win2K...downloaded drivers from hp/compaq with no success...

The drivers on the HP site are for Windows 98, Me. Try the drivers off the ESS site. Find the appropriate Allegro driver for Windows XP (or try each of them). Good Luck.

I have a 7594 too and I had the same problem when I upgraded to win2k. (XP currently). What worked for me was that I went to device manager and right clicked the Multimedia controller or whatever it was and clicked properties. Under the driver tab, I clicked update driver. And I followed the steps. I selected that windows would search for the driver for me. Check windows update and it should search there for your driver. It should find it. Good luck!
