XP does not have most audio drivers. Go to NEC and download the drivers.

Its under Other device section in device manager properties. Nothing stated to which it belongs like audio video or nic.
Right click the item & select delete. Reboot, the OS should C it & load the driver or give u instructions/information about the problem. U may right click on it & select properties & then update driver.
