I have a Xerox Phaser 3100MFP. It will print, but will not scan. Help...

Solution : Print Received Faxes or Transmit Documents in the Transmission Line The machine can no longer receive any new fax transmissions because the memory is full. Clear the memory by printing all received documents, or by transmitting or deleting the documents in the transmission line.

Also if you are running Windows, you can scan with Windows Fax and Scan, which can be found in your Start Menu.

You can select different Operating System from the above mentioned link like Windows XP or Windows 7.

if printing is fine and copying is not then there is something interfering with the mirrors.
if could be nearly anything from dust bunnies to a seal that fell down.

The problem is with the hardware of the printer and all you can try is to reset the scan settings on the scanner .. clean the scan bed.
If neither of them works then it might be time to buy a new one.
