Black LCD screen everytime i turn my camera on

Whenever I turn my camera on, all my LCD shows is a black screen. I can still take pictures but they all show up as black screens. Also, I can still view all my old pictures that I took before this phenomenon started happening. Are there any suggestions to what I can do to get rid of this problem? Thanks. There is something wrong with my flash screen. It's Black. Everytime I try to take pictures on My Finepix z fujifil blue digital camera the screen goes black, and when I go to see what I took a picture...

Flash screen? What? You mean even in pictures with flash disabled (and the flash does drag down the electronics in the thing; make a replacement using an LED lamp and circuit if you have a chance) it takes no picture and leaves you with a black LCD? Are you indeed using a good battery (they go bad gradually (depending on the case on how many times you fire the flash!)) New battery first!

Hi,

The black screen problem means the lens sensor is spoiled due to over exposure to heat. Its better to give it to Kodak service centre. If your camera is under warranty period its well and good they will replace the lens sensor for free of cost.

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check this link for more info.

KODAK eASYSHARE c530 BLACK SCREEN DOES NOT TAKE PICTURE

You may still be able to take pictures with your black screened Kodak camera. This problem occurs in the line of Kodak EasyShare digital camera models.

When you turn on your Kodak EasyShare digital camera, turn off the LiveView function. Take a picture using the small-windowed viewfinder (this is not the LCD screen). Also, try zooming in and out.

After taking a picture, review the picture to see if the picture has been taken. Then turn on LiveView and occasionally the LCD screen should no longer be showing a black screen.

Panasonic PV-L453..... Black screen

If it is not a setting problems, and if the black picture is only on LCD and not on picture files, then it is a problem with the LCD. Probably just the ribbon cable not well inserted into the connector.
Camera must be taken apart to fix this problem. Better to have the job done by a technician at a camera repair shop.

Kodak CX7330. turns on but LCD screen is black and won't take a pic

It sounds like a bad connection on the ribbon cable of the LCD screen to the camera's motherboard. The fact that when you physically move the camera around and you can get the screen to then work, tells me something is loose inside.

Good luck!

LCD wont show the View and No picture

CCD failure most likely. Format the card then try again or a new card. Kodak customer support for more info

Black LCD screen everytime i turn my camera on

I have the same problem and i have contacted the Canon company and i am currentley waiting for a reply for them. I dont know how many peopled read this all that often, but i just thought i would ask a few questions for those who have been working on this problem of a while. From what i hear there is a recall on the CCD chip...true? Also, i was wondering if it is under a recall, replaced for free? and if not under the warrenty, would they replace is granted i did not do anything to it?
