HP 1312nfi, display will not come on at all. When I power up the printer, the ready light is solid green and the light below it is solid orange. The printer makes sounds as if everything (rollers, etc) are going to function fine, but the display will not come on and both lights stay solid.

SOURCE: Catridge light and Data aresolid orange when machine turned on

This is a problem, sorry to say. The Mark Encoder is not being detected. In laymans terms this means that you need a new carrage. Part Number is C4713-60039. You also need to check on the condition of your belt at the same time. Is there somebody in your area that can do the work or are you capable ?

SOURCE: hp printer model M1522nf displaying permanent

HI,

This a formatter failure, sounds like the formatter went out while trying to do a hard reset or after updating the firmware,
Try doing a nvram:
Turn the printer off and hold the down arrow and the cancel button
Turn the printer on while holding the two buttons down
Continue holding until you see the permanent storage message and wait for the ready message to display

If this doesn't work call hp and tell them that printer is frozen and will not initialize, this is due to a formatter failure. If it has been less than 2 years since the purchase date then you will apply for a service note and will be able to have the printer serviced for free, Contact hp's tech support at 1800-334-5144.

My hp laserjet 1300 printer shows blinking the orange light instead of the green one and I couldn't find out what is the reason

1. Go light/button blinks twice with solid green and orange lights
2. Green light starts blinking with go light twice and then both go off
3. orange light goes off.
4. green light followed by orange light followed by go light cycle twice and a third time by the green light
5.followed by the orange light continuously blinking.

I have already tried the following trouble-shooting:

1. Put in a new cartridge
2. Made sure there is paper properly seated in the tray
3. Made sure all doors closed (I even took off left side to verify no memory cards
4. Verified all doors closed
5. Done a cold reboot by holding the Go button while turning the unit on.
6. Repeated steps 1-5 multiple times.Hope It's resolve all Your Printer Problem,

What does a orange power light mean

please see the commentary. God bless you

  • The majority of laptops will display a solid green, blue or purple battery light to indicate that the battery is fully charged. Most manufacturers indicate that a laptop is in the process of charging by displaying a solid or blinking green, orange, blue or purple light. If your battery indicator light is green, blue or purple, the battery is probably functional, regardless of whether the light is blinking. If the light is solid orange, the laptop is probably in the process of charging.

Battery Error Coneventions

  • Many battery manufacturers use rapidly blinking lights to indicate that a battery's charge level is low. In general, a laptop will rapidly blink orange or red when its charge drops below a certain level until the computer is plugged into a power outlet and charged. If your laptop's battery indicator continues to blink rapidly in orange or red or if it remains red even when it is plugged into the charger, it indicates a problem with your battery or the charger.

HP CM1312 DISPLAY DEAD, READY LIGHT SOLID, EXCLAMATION POINT SOLID

I hope its formatter(mother board) faulty, remove USB cable, un install the drivers from the system, found new hard after connecting the printer? if its not recognizing replace formatter assm..or else display panel..Hints while repairing: Flat cable is too short between scanner assm & DC controller, before powering on verify this cable properly fit or not.. While opening the printer side covers by mistake flat cables of ADF & display plug off due to over length, if we are not concentrate on this it will damages the formatter,if we gives power(might be this issue raised in your printer)..Never disturb/remove the laser scanner assm.. it will kill your patience.Never try to remove laser scanner assm with out cartridge bank( for repair normally we will remove this bank), it will fall down on ETB.. verify all connector properly fixed or not before powering on..
