I can get sound through my radio, but no video to the screens. There was a little black box connected between the screens and the player itself, but that seemed to have disappeared! I think it's like an RF box, but with special connections.

Look on the harness of your video player there will be a wire marked parking brake that has to be hooked to the brake so when the the brake is applied it supplies a ground, you can also ground that wire and you should get a picture.

Is the DVD player connected to the television via an HDMI cable? You have to click Source or Input on the remote to move to that Socket.

I was hooking my Planet Audio P9745B up in my 2000 Honda Accord and it said Warning Video something so it wouldn't show but you could hear the movie and then it showed up on the screen. So i put everything...

Sounds like there could be a shorted wire possibly power but what sounds like happened is the unit grounded out and blew the cigarette lighter fuse. Check fuse box for blown fuse, if this is the case I would suggest pulling radio out and having the wire harness for the radio professionally connected and inspect all connections

I connect my alpine cva 1003 to valor dv-169T dvd player. sounds come out but the screen is not getting connected to dvd player. i connect red, white and yellow wires.

if evrything is ok with the dvd (make sure the dvd is working fine), you need to hook up the yellow/ blue wires and yellow / black wires one for parking breack and the other for the breack chek the diagram on top of the alpine radio .

Everything powers on, it plays dvd's cd's and the radio but the screen won't come on and the little square at the bottom keeps flashing.

Hi.

That usually means that there is no video connection.

Check the video connections to displays and check the video connection at the back of the main DVD unit.

Regards.

I am getting sounds only out of my tuner selection (radio) source

I would start off by doing exactly that removing the black box tuner out of the equation. The next question is did you install the black box or did you have someone else install it for you. If the box is not installed propperly then the audio outs could not be wired up correctly. Double check all of your connections. It could be something as simple as bad or no power to the box.

Radio stop working after battery change

If your radio is the pioneer model stated, it definately has a fuse!
The little black box on the yellow wire contains a fuse.
If there is no black box on the conctant power, you may have damaged the radio with a voltage spike(s) when connecting the battery posts.
