The error code E007 is a fixing film error code > it will have to be replaced to clear the code. That is if it a IR-2020, a IR-8500 does not have a fixing film.

The E007 error is caused by the fuser , the fuser film has a white patch that needs to be seen by the patch sensor , most likely the film need to be replaced
You have to disassemble fuser unit and inspect a fixing film, if damaged - replace.
The official documentation says: E007 0000 Fixing film sensor failure The fixing film sensor is faulty. - Check the connector of the fixing film sensor. - Replace the fixing film sensor. - Replace the DC controller PCB.

I have problem with my canon Ir 2020 after 3 or 4 copy it shows Error
E007 .. and some times when i turn on the copier it shows this error
. How can I Fix this error ... please help me .
An error in the rotation of the fixing film is detected.
The reading of the main thermistor is 100°C or higher and, in addition, the fixing film sensor does not detect the rotation of the film for 6 sec or more
while the fixing motor is driven.
I think - The fixing film sensor is faulty.
Caution To clear the error, execute the following in service mode:
COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>ERR.
It is a fixing film position error. The fixing film is probably damaged or is just tracking off center. If the fixing film is ratched then replace the entire upper fixing unit. You can get just the film but its a job even experienced techs cringe at. Check the lower roller and bushings while you are at it. If anything is worn there it can cause the film to track off center.
