Rachel you need 2 12/12AH batteries that are located in the battery pack under the seat. Simply pull the battery pack from the scooter and with a standard phillips screwdriver remove the many screws attaching the battery pack together (simply turn the pack over to get to the screws) There will be two wire on each battery and also a heat sensor attached to the side of one battery remove the wires from each battery and carefully reove the heat sensor. You can bring one of the batterys to your local battery warehouse type store or a provider and purchase 2 new ones reinstall like you removed attaching red wire to red terminals and black to black terminals and reattach the heat sensor to the side of one battery (you can use packaging tape to reattach). replace all the screws to put the case back together and reinstall in your scooter. Charge the batteries with you charger until the charge light is green then happy riding HOPE THIS HELPS

How do i remove the battery from my go go elite scooter..?

If it is like my Pride Go Go Traveler Elite scooter, what they don\'t tell you is that you need to give the battery a sharp jerk to make it release and come off the scooter. You can\'t just pull it strong and steady.

I have a Go Go Elite Traveller 4 wheel. I just spent $175 on 2 new batteries for it. I charge it every time I use it. It will not go more than 20 minutes before it stops. Then I get 6 beeps. ...

hi, sorry to hear you having issues with the go go

Here's the manual

http://www.pride-mobility.co.uk/docs/Elite%20Traveller_owners%20manual.pdf

The fault description is :

Throttle control lever not at centre position
at start up.
Return the throttle control lever to centre
position, turn Travel Scooter off then back on

so what happened is that the throttle is no longer centre , look at the base of the throttle stem, a cross head , now that should look straight at the the seat stem, be in aligh with it, if's it off slight you will get that fault so you need to adjust the lever so the pot is dead centre again..

Still having a problem then goto my site and contact me so we can solve this for you free of charge..

Regards
Rob

My pride go go elite traveler 4 wheel stops randomly often with no beeps. I have replaced the throttle, the speed pot, the brake, and the batteries check out fine.

You may have a loose connection at one of the harnesses or connectors. If there are no codes you may have a bad controller or loose connection at the controller. Slow speed problems may be motor or motor brush problems you can diagnose by visual inspection or a voltmeter. Load test the new batteries and the charger output. Block it up and run it checking and knocking all the components until it quits. I have seen a dragging brake caused by a melted controller harness at the controller connector cause a similar problem. Hope this helps.

Pride travel scooter cut s off

This is usually due to the battery "jumping" off the contacts when you go over a bump in the pathway. Put a RUBBER door stop between the battery and the seat post. This fixed mine for all but the huge potholes. Had this fix for 4 years

Amp meter registerss 3/4 and doesn't move

I would check the to see if the batteries are overcharged. You can tell this by looking at the sides of the batteries. If they are "swollen" and have distorted the battery shape, that is being caused by the charger. I had the same problem and needed to by new batteries and a new charger.

We have a 11 month old elite traveler scooter. The battery will not take a charge. We have had no previous problems. Any suggestions?

I just fixed this problem in a Go Go Elite that was less than 6 months old. We would plug in the charger and the "charge" light would not turn on, just the "power light" I took out the battery pack (check manual for instructions), removed the cover (8 philips head screws) and checked the voltage on the two batteries. One read 4.5 volts and the other 4.7 volts. They should both read at least 11 volts, ideally 12 volts. Evidently the Pride charger will not work if it detects that the batteries are too low. So I took out one battery at a time and connected a 12 volt auto trickle charger to it for 3 hours on each battery. Checked voltages and it brought them back up to 11.5 volts. I reinstalled the battery pack and then connected the Pride charger and THEN it showed a "Charge" light. I left the pride charger on for 12 hours and it brought it up to full charge.
Advice: Don't let your batteries get too low or the factory charger will not work.
