The two plastic pieces clip together inside the fabric of the canopy, but if you push the fabric all the way to one side, you can expose the latch where the two pieces meet. The two pieces are identical, so you can push in on the tab on either piece to separate them. You have to push firmly, but they should separate easily.
Once you've washed the canopy, just thread one of the plastic pieces through the canopy and snap the two back together by sliding them together.
Hope that helps!
I wasn't strong enough to pull it apart either, so I stepped on one end and pulled on the other..it worked! And it did not break.
I couldn't push the snaps in any way to unclip, because they are so snug there is no give. I tried using a screwdriver and a butterknife on the clips- no go. I just had to gently but firmly pull and they came apart nicely.
Heidishamp,
Thank you soooo much!!!! Your solution to step on one end and pull was the best suggestion thus far! I was getting so frustrated and your answer eased so much unnecessary stress. I am so thankful for your post.
This helped me out too! Thank you so much!!:)
Thank you. I tried and tried then just tugged hard. Nice to know you didn't have press both sides
Thank you gggg! This who.e time I thought it didn't even come off, and then when I figured out it did I didn't know which clip to push on! I went 9months without washing it and am sooo happy I can finally wash it the rest of it! Lol, blonde moment!!
