Hi, i bought a 2nd hand nokia 1100 in the uk on orange. it works fine except that the keypad lock is protected by a code, i guess chosen by the previous owner. is there anyway to bypass this code and return it to the standard, non coded, keypad lock?

I have a trick to bypass the trick.
When ur keypad is locked, "unlock" option is in the left hand side above the left soft key.
At that time, press and hold (left soft key and *) at once. If u hvnt pressed the two buttons at once, it wont work.
If u hv properly pressed the (left soft key + *) at once, u will be given a message "press * to unlock". At that time, press * and u will bypass the security code.
Give it several try. and then u will succeed coz it is tricky enough to dodge u.

When you say the left soft key, do you mean the depressed on/off switch? I have tried doing that and * simutaneously maybe a hundred times and other combinations but the only msg i get is the same. . press unlock and give code. . . which i dont have, and has been changed from the default nokia code. I can still use the phone by removing and replacing the battery tho, so its not the end of the world. Thanks alot for trying tho mate.
