The cross grid piece separates from the spindle. Yank the filter basket upwards and it should all come
apart. Subsequent removals become easier.

No water from spray on base

I had same problem. Remove all fluid from machine, I used a wet dry vac. As someone else said unscrew the 2 screws that hold the filter basket. Take out the filter basket and clean thoroughly. Find plastic hose that is now visible under basket and pull up and remove that (noticing where the slot is to put it back when finished) and pull the screen off top of hose and clean that as well. I then vacuumed out that hose with my wet dry vac. Reassembled everything and now works perfectly.

How do i prime this swimming pool pump?

The normal procedure would be to unscrew the top of the inlet basket and fill that with water until it flow out down the inlet pipe, then replace the top cover. Make sure the skimmer box basket is clean, the pool water level is high, or put a fast running hose in the skimmer box to make sure the primed pump does not have to pull the water up from too low at the inlet.

If it will not pull the pool water in when started, then -
- there is a leak or blockage somewhere on the inlet side
- the pump impeller is damaged
- the filter is clogged too much and causing back pressure
- the pump power and pipe sizing are mismatched

Wall fitting filter screen clogs

Craig - your filter elements in your pool filter are probably ripped (one or more) allowing whatever it is filtering to come through. This could be leave particles, DE, pebbles - whatever is sucked through your filter. The filter (at the wall) is performing it's job, and stopping this from then entering your Jet Vac, and clogging it up also, worst case ruining the gears inside the Jet Vac.

Electrolux side by side freezer baskets remove how

Hello augustus_ eli - To remove the top and/or bottom basket, pull the basket(s) out until it stops. Then, lift up on the handle and pull out at the same time to completely remove the basket. To reinstall top and/or bottom basket, align the basket with the rails and push in. The middle basket is held in place by four retainer clips; two on each rail. Before removing the basket, note the location of each retainer clip. To remove the baskets from the retainer clips grasps the handle firmly and pull up. The basket should release from the retainer clips. To reinstalled the basket place the basket on top of the retainer clips and press down.

De powder not sticking to grids

To answer specifically, D.E. is designed to fall down off the grids basically recharging each time the filter comes on. It is also worth noting that as the filter gets dirty, the D.E. Will start to cake and stop falling off the grids. Also, when recharging the D.E. do not use low speed on a multi/variable speed/flow pump.

Does this D.E. filter have to be cleaned 2x a year?

You need to break down and clean this filter one time each year but twice wont hurt at all.
First get a five gallon bucket for garbage. Then mark the shell of the filter and the band clamp so you can line them up later. Use a magic marker for this.
Now undo the clamp on the tank and remove. then open the air bleed to drain the tank. If you can't remove the top turn the pump on for a second or two to pop the top.
Remove build up of DE on the top of the grid assembly and discard. You will find two bolts comeing up through the plastic manifold. Remove these and clean. Now grip the manifold and with a rocking motion back and forth gently pull up. When this comes free clean and set aside. Gently seperate the grids and remove DE packed between them and discard. Remove grids and lower rack and hose off.
With the valve in BW position hose down the inside the tank. Inspect the "O" rings and replace as nessary.
Now take the manifold and turn up side down on the bucket. Take the grids and insert into the holes in the manifold being sure the small grid is in line with the space for the stand pipe. Now replace the lower rack and gently work into place. DO NOT FORCE THIS.
Tip to one side while holding together and start nuts on through bolts. Rite up the assembly and tighten these nuts.
Grease the stand pipe "O" ring and set the assembly back in place.
Replace the top and clamp lineing up the marks you made when starting. Evenly tighten the clamp.
Reset BW valve to filter and recharge.
You may want to hire someone to do this the first time and watch them before trying to do it yourself. Good luck.

Replace the grids in my Pentair NSP60 filter

Remove the band clamp on the tank and start the pump for a second or two untill the top pops then open the air bleed to drain the tank and pull top off. There will be two nuts that you remove from the long studs that come through the top manifold . Once you remove these gently turn the manifold back and forth while pulling up on it. When you get it off rock the grids and pull them up. You will need a garbage handy while you do this to put the caked D.E. in. When all the grids are out you acn pull the bottom frame out. and rinse the base by turning the pump on till the filter base fills then shut the pump off and open the backwash and rinse with a hose while it drains out. You can rinse the parts while you do this if your quick enough. If you used a five gallon bucket to put your old D.E. in Turn the manifold upside down and then assemble with your new grids. Seven are the same size one is smaller that one coresponds with the stand pipe and the bottom has a notch for the same. Whild upside down the grids will line up with the bottom frame a lot easer than when righted. with the steel bolts in their holes carefully tilt the assembly to start the nuts on the through bolts. When they are hand tight rite the assembly and finish tightening it all up. At this point you can lube the stand pipe "O" ring and install a new tank "O" ring. Set the assembly back in the tank and replace the top faceing the same direction as when it came off. Replace the tank band clamp and tighten evenly one side then the other if you have two bolts on it till the coils in the springs touch each other. If it's old enough not to have springs on the bolts tighten them till they squeek.Start pump, bleed air out of tank, ck for leaks and recharge the filter. If you take apart like this once a year and clean the grids or after alge problems you should get eight or ten years from the grids. Good luck!

Thermal carafe clogged

I was once able to disassemble the top of the carafe and clean it thoroughly. I've had these clogging problems before, and it has not been the filter chamber that is the problem, but the vent in the carafe being clogged. When the air from the inside of the carafe can't be displaced faster than the coffee is draining in, the coffee stops draining into the carafe, fills the top, and spills over the side.

Will probably end up buying a replacement lid, as I can't figure out how to open the top without destroying it. I must have gotten lucky the time I was able to take it apart.

Kenmore Quiet3 not cleaning top rack, now stopped cleaning all

The problem is likely that the cutter/chopper filter is plugged. This reduces or eliminates water flow to the cleaning arms.
Solution:
Remove dish baskets
Remove bottom arm - Rotate the centre post until arm is free to be lifted out.
Remove conduit to top arm(s) - Remove 2 screws, one at top and one at back. Rotate whole conduit 45 deg right and lift off of centre post.
Remove bottom plastic assembly. - Remove 4 screws and lift off.
Remove cutter cap. - Remove 1 screw at front left. Lift off plastic cap. Remove cutter filter. It is on a spring loaded pin. Pull cutter blade foreword and lift filter disc straight up. Clean filter disc thoroughly
Reassemble!
