Acu-rite Weather Station Model 00593A2 Questions:
(I have no manual for this.)
HOW DO I SET THE TIME ZONE? I set the time by pressing "Set" then + or - then "Set" again, but after 2-3 hours it reverts back to an hour earlier than correct time, no matter how many times I change the setting. I don't see an icons showing for PST, CST, EST, etc. when I adjust the time. The only one I see is for Daylight Saving Time (DST)
HOW DO I SET THE BAROMETRIC PRESSURE TO SWITCH TO READ IN MB? Right now it's reading in, I think, hPA, where it says 1010. I want the popular readings of 30, 29, etc., which I think is MB.
I set everything up just like the instructions said, and it will show the time, date, day, inside temp and humidity (it also shows the barometric pressure but it has never changed), but it will NOT show the wind, rain, outside temp or humidity, and it never changes the weather forcast (it's always partly cloudy). To set the time on your 00604 thermometer.
Press and Hold the Time button until the Hour begins flashing.
Release Time
Press and Release the + or - buttons to adjust
Press and Release Time and the Minutes will flash
Press and Release the + or - buttons to adjust
Press and Release Time to lock in your setting.
Push and hold the "-" button on the main unit until "P" displays on the screen. You'll now set the time zone so the system can automatically set the clock. The screen will begin cycling between the time zones. Push the "Set" button when the correct time zone appears.
Set the Time Manually: If you want to set your alarm clock a little ahead or if the unit ever loses time for any reason, the time can be set manually by following these steps. 1) Press and hold the "CH./SET" button for seven seconds to begin the manual time set mode. (2 BEEPS) The hour will flash on and off. 2) Adjust each setting by pressing the "+" or "-" buttons. Confirm and move on to the next setting by pressing the "CH./SET" button. MANUAL TIME ADJUST SEQUENCE: hour, minute, year, month, date
This works for me. You have to be sure to keep pressing the CH/SET button for the full seven seconds -- the first beep the the clock gives you will only allow you to set the time zone and DST function.
Press Set-up, third round button from right and hold it down until "hour" on the time display flashes. Then press "set-up" again, and again (for me it was 8 times), until you get to where the "C" is flashing you want to change to "F." Now, press "Min" on the far left once to change it to "F." Press "set-up" two more times to get out of the cycle, and you're done.

I actually have the same problem with an older model Brookstone weather station with remote temperature gauge. The time/date settings do not allow you to set time zone and eventually the clock syncs to PST.... ANY HELP HERE?
