Yes you should install the chipset driver first. It is always the first one to install on a freshly installed Windows.

I don't know if it is where you got your drivers but compaq.com will provide everything you need by choosing your laptop model in the support page.

I am using Presario A901TU notebook, I am unable to find out the audio drivers which is suitable for my Notebook. IF u not having ur drivers for win xp service pack 2
u have no option beside taking help of internet u have two options
1. go to google web site and write the following statement " driver for your system model name with no.
like compaq Presario for xp2 "
u will get drivers
2. u go on www.freedrivers.com and follow the same as in step1.
u jst include statement driver for audio or sound or display or bluetooth etc.

plz reinstall the drivers

plz send me c772tu sound drivers

Installing only audio drivers will give you error "DRIVER INSTALLATION FAILED. COULD NOT FIND MEDIA DEVICE FOR THIS DRIVER" .so to solve this problem first you have to download microsoft universal audio driver and then install audio drivers

installl xp first . then using that identify ur audio codec . then go to the companys suoort section website and downlaod the latest drivers
