Change ur resolution, go to properties>setting>advance>monitor change the screen refresh rate , adjust it where it works, that may help u

Problem of HP products is Always display....that is the Video Card there are a lot of model of hp specially in dv series.

Try to check the video card. before that check first the inverter but then proceed to the Video card.....

Can be a Hardware or software (drivers) issue....try checking the physical connections between Monitor and system tower....if its a laptop then try opening closing the lid.

Screen is blinking very frequently
Hello, this is a known problem with the model of that laptop. You will also notice in safe mode your screen will not flicker but in normal mode it will flicker.
Your laptop should still be under warranty and needs the LCD replaced.

you need to replace the key board funny this will probly fix you vol text problem too it sounds like the vol key may be stuck you should be able to buy a keyboard on ebay for less then $30 and make your laptop work correctly

Hp 1730 monitor will not turn on. The power light on the front of the monitor blinks. Screen is black looks to be off. when i push the power button nothing happens.
There are multiple circuits for this model. I suspect your model is PE1237. If so this model frequently has bad solder connections at the AC socket. Also capacitor 2119 or capacitors 2041 & 2031 can cause no power up. They normally are bulging if bad.
If your model is PE1238 (BenQ), you may see bulging capacitors in the power supply.(1000uf/25v)
