I had a similar problem with trying to upload a web cam. Windows 2000 professional (the best OS available bar none) is to old to be able to handle the technology. Unfortunately you will have to upgrade (downgrade) your system to Windows XP. Do not touch Vista, it is full of bugs. Good luck
What you need to do is first connect your mp3 player to a computer that is running xp. This way we can figure out if it is the mp3 player or windows vista. If it is windows vista try and go to the manufactures website and see if they have a driver for windows vista. That is all I can really think of right now
i would try this website for all device drivers that you cant find. http://www.opendrivers.com/driver/233150/samsung-yp-t7jx-yp-t7j-firmware-v1.01-windows-xp-free-download.html
You may need to download software for your mp3 player of the manufacturer website or try using Windows Media Player 11.
To try using Windows Media Player 11 follow these steps:
Go to Windows Media Player 11, when you've opened it click on the link at the top called "Sync" once your on that your mp3 player should be there now just simply drag and drop music files where it says "Drag Items Here" on the right panel, then click "Start Sync".
Now unplug your mp3 player then see if it's worked.
If you want to try the other way download drivers for your mp3 player and vista go to this link - http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/index.asp
once your on the site fill in the information about your mp3 player then search and download drivers, but the first step using windows media player i said to do should work no problem.
