Lack of Equalizer in the media player of HTC S710

There are built in equalizers on certain players.
KMPlayer and VLCplayer both have equalizer functions and are free players.

Now, if you want a stand alone equalizer you will simply need to Google "Graphic Equalizer program for Win 7" and you will get PLENTY of results of free EQ's. Most of them are rated. I grabbed a couple to play with them, but as of this post, I have not yet.

Here i have given you few tips on equalizer.You can make use of it.

The equalizer of Winamp 2 is the worst of all; Winamp 5 and Windows Media Player 9 have better equalizers (although there is much difference between them). The most precise is the 20-band equalizer of Sonique 1.96.

I have read this on its operation manual, hope this will help

*If you turn on the Bass function while the equalizer setting is activated, the equalizer setting is disabled. The equalizer setting will be resumed when the Bass function is turned off.

*While the Bass function is activated, you cannot change the equalizer setting.

it is possible the equalizer is not working try to format it or just use a needle and press reset

holding the MODE button will return you to the main screen. They are Music-Movie-Picture-Setting. You should be on the Music screen first. Pressing down will take you through these in order. Under Setting is LCD set, Language, online device, memory info, firmware, remove mtp info, default, exit.
While in Music (as long as you are not playing a song) tapping the MODE button will give you the option of going to the local folder or exit.
If you play a song and press MODE you are given the following options Play Mode, Equalizer, SRS WOW Mode, and exit.
Under Play mode are the options, Normal, repeat one, folder, repeat folder, repeat all, random, and intro.
Under Equalizer is flat, rock, pop, classic, soft, jazz, DBB
Under RS WOW mode is srswow, user setting, disable srs wow and exit.

I think you are having the same problem I had.

I found that if the Bass was turned on then you couldn't access the equalizer.

Once I had turned it off, no probs. To turn it off simply press the bass button on the top of the player.

Equalizer is built into windows media player. There is no equalizer built into your audio device unless you have the proper software for the particular brand such as Realtek AC97' Audio Codec with the full installer package. Or Soundblaster Audigy with its installer package.

If you just want to use windows media player, you can usually access the equalizer by going to Now playing and right clicking on the visualization or the middle of the program's screen. It changes for each version of WMP so I cant tell you exactly where it will be.
