My printer is showing as being offline. How do I get it back online?

Step 1:
a. Click Start, go to Control Panel and select Hardware and Sound.
b. Click Printer.
c. If the Printer is offline, it shows "Offline" status. If the Printer is online it shows "Ready".
d. If the Printer is offline, set it to online.
e. Right-click on the printer and select "Use Printer Online".
f. The display should change to ready when the printer is set to online.

Under printers, On the Hp 3100 model, right click on it, if it shows Use Printer Online then select that Option. Else if it shows "Use Printer Offline" it means to say that your printer is online.
Also check that whether the Power is On to the printer. Communication cable is connected. Proper printer port is selected.

for the document you want to print click on print and your printer should show up now just click on the printer and look down where it says use printer offline and click on it again and than it will say use printer online and just print from there ok please dont forget to rate this solution for me

To get back online of your printer, go to Control Panel and Select Printer & Faxes then OPEN.
A list of Printer is on the browser, point the printer with your mouse then right click on your Printer HP OfficeJet to select Printer Offline and click it to go back Printer Online. Good luck!

Right-click on the printer icon in control panel - there should be an option for printer to be either
ONLINE or OFFLINE. (assuming windows OS)

Hello, go to start, control panel, printers and faxes. Look for your printer. right click and going down you will see sharing and use printer online or offline. click that and you will be up and running
