Please follow the steps below...

1. Remove the battery for at least 3 minutes and then put it back in.. be sure it''s fresh and fully charged

2. VERY IMPORTANT...Turn the "Hold button" ON.. (slide it to the right)

3. Now, plug it into the computer, it would be better if you used a USB 2 port that is located on the back of the computer (it''s on the motherboard)
4. Go to "MY Computer" and see if it shows up as a "Removable disk"
5. If it''s there, then reformat it to ...FAT32...not FAT.if you need help with reformatting let me know.
6 Unplug it and let it finalize. Give it lots of time.
7. Return the "Hold button" to off. If this works, it should be like new. Of course, all your media will be gone. If it doesn''t work, oh well...back to the drawing board.

Change language back to english?

Hello,

For the m240 Sandisk gives next information, how to change the language on m200 series players:
NOTE: All the steps start from the Main menu.
1. Settings Option can be accessed by going to the 4th item on the list.
2. Language is the 5th option after Settings.
Manual for the m200 series:
http://mp3support.sandisk.com/downloads/um/sansa-m200-um.pdf
Page 27 (=page26) of the manual shows how to go to the top level, main menu. Page 26 (=page 25) gives the table for top level menus.

SanDisk Sansa m240 Screen Broke

My advice is if the screen broke and does not display a thing. It's better to buy a new one. Because replacement parts are always more expensive plus installation. the only place to do that kind of work is at the company itself. If it's 1gb model it only costs $50USD. i suggest you rebuy it or get better cheaper model!

Blank screen

Typically this is an indication that your battery is dead. If the music is still playing but the screen is blank I would say a hardware failure and replacement would be the best option.

Hi, my m240 does the same thing. I partly fixed it by going to menu\settings\reset all. Temporalily fixes it, need to do it occasionally. Still missing a lot of space though!

I WONT ADRIVER

Drivers are not necessary. You need Windows XP / SP2 and Windows Media Player 10 or higher. They supply all the necessary drivers. Best of Luck.
