Changing the printer's IP address
If the TCP/IP address needs to be changed, the HP Jetdirect can be reset to factory defaults so that it can receive a DHCP configuration from a server (see below). Another method is to use the printer's control panel:
1.Press the green check mark (Select) button.
2.Press the Up or Down arrow to scroll to CONFIGURE DEVICE menu and press the check mark button.
3.Press the Up or Down arrow to scroll to I/O , then press the check mark button.
4.Press the Up or Down arrow to scroll to EIO 1, 2, or 3 (depending on which EIO slot is in), then press the check mark button.
5.Press the Up or Down arrow to scroll to TCP/IP , press the check mark button.
6.Choose Config Method , then press the check mark button.
7.Choose Manual , then press the check mark button. Wait for the display to return to the Config Method screen. A Manual Settings option should now be available.
8.Press the Up or Down arrow to select Manual Settings , then press the check mark button.
9.Press the Up or Down arrow to scroll to IP address , then press the check mark button.
10.Use the Up or Down arrows to choose first byte of IP address. Press the check mark button to save the IP byte.
Repeat for the second, third, and fourth octets.
11.Continue using the Up or Down arrows and the check mark button to enter the Subnet address and the Gateway address.

How to i configure the ip address on hp laserjet p3005dn so i can set up a network printer. I donot want the ip that the printer came with.

Hello, When you first install the printer onto the Network it will automatically find an IP Address, this is called "DHCP". In order to change the IP Address the printer needs to be setup as what is known as "STATIC". You can do this in in a couple of ways 1) Type the IP Adrees into an internet explorer Browser, this should open up the printers EWS (embedded Web Browser) if it opens click on the networking tab - Chnge the IP Address , set DHCP to "OFF"and click Apply. 2) From the printers control panel - push the "MENU" button and scroll down to the "CONFIGURE DEVICE" to "I/O" to "EMBEDDED JETDIRECT" Withi the TCIP setting you are able to change the printers IP Address

How can i configure the IP for the printer HP laserJet P2015dn? what is the address that I can access this printer from my PC via web brower?

For configuring the IP address on the printer, you will have to browse the printer menu, and the IP or TCP/IP should be under Network. Here is basic information about troubleshooting network issues from HP website.

Once you have set up an IP address to your printer you will be able to connect from PC via the web browser by typing in the IP address of the printer.

What is the default ip address of the printer hp laserjet 4250n?

There is no default IP address on HP printers with Jetdirect print server card.
You set the IP address in the printer's network settings. The IP address need to be set to match your network's address range.
To configure the HP network printer to work on your network, please click on this link and follow my instructions :-

HP 4650dn says 49.4C serivce error

Are you trying to print a PDF file from the internet?
The Jetdirect card could be the problem, especially if it's the 615n type, as they fail a lot..
The most likely cause is the firmware, which can be changed by installing Web Jetadmin on a PC on your network. You will need to have internet access in order to obtain the latest firmware. Most of the FW images from 2008 are the cause of the 49.4c errors. So you need to install a newer image (if not available you will need the post 2008 file).
Here are directions for setting up Web Jetadmin
http://h20000.www2.hp.com

Also, if the printer doesn't come to ready, try removing the cable to the network card and turn on again as it could be a job stuck in some print queue that is still trying to print causing the error. If you are able to get the printer to ready with the jet direct card connected you do not need web jet admin to upgrade. A better way may be to run a config page from the information menu and on the second page will be the tcp/ip address. Download the firmware upgrade to the printer and then ftp the address into your web browser which should look something like ( ex: ftp:/192.168.2.10) where the info after the forward slash is the ip address and hit enter and you should come up with a Port icon in the window. Just drag the firmware upgrade file to the icon and it will upgrade the
firmware.
Hope this helps you

I changed the IP address range of my LAN and need to assign the new range of addresses to my HP printer P2015dn

Press the Menu button on the printer to open the printer’s menu and enable the Network Card – these print servers use a static IP address therefore, configure the IP address of the network card so it matches the IP range of your network. Eg. If your IP's are 192.168.0.xxx then set the network card to a high number say 100. (This is to prevent a conflict with the router issuing the same IP address to a computer on your network).
Then set the Subnet Mask IP address to 255.255.255.0

HP LaserJet P2015n Printer IP adress

To Me it looks like your printer is set to automatically select an available IP address. If there is no IP available you get the 0:0:0:0 You need a static IP set up for the printer, this will make sure that no one can use the IP. If this is a company printer, get IT to set it up for you. If its your home network you can set this by yourself by either connecting your printer via usb and using the software from HP or if you have an IP you can log into your PC by entering the IP address in the address bar of your browser. You should get the HP page up for your printer. Set the IP from there in the networking section. I hope this helps a little
