I bought Sony VAIO notebook.But it is in German.I cant use it because of it's language. i need help.How can i change German language to English language.Do I have to update it.If it is so How do i have to update.please hepl :(

If you are using windows then

1. Open Regional and Language Options by clicking the Start button , clickingControl Panel, clicking Clock, Language, and Region, and then clicking Regional and Language Options.
   

2. Click the Keyboards and Languages tab.
   

3. Under Display language, choose a language from the list, and then click OK.
   

Click on the Start Button.

Click the Control Panel. ( Panneau de configuration )

Click Change Display Language (La langue d'affichage)

Click Install/Uninstall Languages (Installer / D?sinstaller les langues)

Click Install display language (Installer la langue d'affichage)

Click Windows Update

Select Optional Updates and Select English. (Mises ? jour en option)

The Language option most of the VAIO has in BIOS setup, you can change the computer language from BIOS.
For the operating system language, you may go to Control panel and click on regional setting option, here you have language option for windows.

The program disc loaded into this computer was in German
An English version is needed
This can not be changed by typing in anything with the German version loaded into it

I have just bought a garmin nuvi 1300 and when turned it on the language is german or dutch. We need english but cannot figure out how to change to that seleciton. Help??

This might be a problem.. Windows controls the actual display language (thats the dialog boxes, the windows and all the screen messages you see).

If you have a german copy of windows it might be just german. That means you might NOT be able to change the display language to english.

IF you have what's called windows MUI you might be able to change the display language.

Ask the guy or company you bought it from if they have windows CD's. You're likely going to need them. See if by any remote chance you DO have Windows XP MUI (stands for multi user interface)

It's unlikely you do, but at least ask.


There are options to change the language but it's usually not for the display it's for spelling or how dates and the like appear.

You need to obtain an English version or a Multilingual one and format and install that version in English.

LOOK AT YOU OVERHEAD CONSOLE. PRESS THE BUTTON THAT SAYS"MENU" UNTIL YOU SEE
"LANGUAGE" LOOK FOR ENGLISH THE PRESS REST BUTTON

usually : go to setup > search for language > select : English > press OK or Set .

If this doesn't work reset the camera to default settings and set it up as you would like it to be
