Just puchased my Jabra BT8010 bluetooth earpiece today and charged it for over 2 hours. I install the control center software from the web site and plugged in the earpiece to do the firmware upgrade. It started the upgrade but stated that it could not finish. Now I have no display and the control center program connot see the device. My computer's device manager sees it in DFU mode but I can't do anything with it. HELP!!!!!

    I have a same problem, after charging I could see only "charge complete". Then I tried to upgrade firmware to 1-40-0 but now my Jabra bt8010 is dead

    Same thing happened to me while upgrading the firmware on my BT8010. Any advice on how to revive it?

You probably have Winders Media Player 11. If you can find another computer that has WMP 10, you can use that computer to do the firmware upgrade, then go back to the original computer. Thingsa should work fine. Otherwise, you need to unistall WMP 11 and WMP11 runtime. Another case of Billy messing us up. And don't even get me started about vista....

SOURCE: Reseting Jabra Bluetooth

Jabra headsets sometimes have a different way of being put into discovery mode. Most headsets just have you press and hold the big call button on it. Some jabra headsets require you to JUST hold down both volume buttons and some other jabra headsets require you to hold down ALL buttons on the headset to put it in discovery mode (or pairing mode as they sometimes call it)

Try of those combinations ... The light will stay solid when it's in discovery mode... Once the light is solid THEN have the EnV search for headsets.

The "Firmware Upgrading" should only show for about 60 seconds.

You could try removing the battery and restarting.

If this doesn't work try repairing again.

No, it means you are being advised to upgrade the firmware in the BT8010 to the latest version to have improved function. It does not mean your BT8010 won't work, it just won't be a versatile as if you did the upgrade. You will need the follow Jabra's instructions how to download the firmware from their internet site and install it,

Obvious it's a software problem.I strongly recommand downgrading from the OFFICIAL SITE or a trusty one the previous version that you had before or you could try 1.3 1.2 untill you find a working one.

you need to charge the head-set fully and then.... disconect it from power supply. hold down the call button until a continus light appears. and then flip out the speaker tusk.... then search for the device on your phone a couple of times.... if you dont find your headset then your phone is not compatible with the head-set....
