There are many reasons why a dehumidifier willnot work or collect water.

LD451EGL no water extraction

Apparently, the fans are running, but the compressor has shut down. It could be a failed compressor, or the charge in the system could have leaked out causing the compressor to shut down.

The dehudifier stop to substract water. one day the top surface was hot and I turn it off and then when I turn it on every thing runs ok, except that problem. and nothing smell like a electric or cable...

Kenmore 580-54701500 is not working. I noticed a burning smell before it quit. Light comes on control panel- but pressing buttons does nothing. maybe a fan or motor needs to be replaced. not sure if...

It could be a abad compressor, circuit board, or maybe even a sensor or dehumidistat...
