The power button might be broken. Did you try the remote? It cant be a failure in the power circuit because you said standby light is working. if that light is working then the player should start up fine.

My element tv elcwf329 wont come on

Connect the power cord to the power socket after you have completed all the physical connections. At this stage, the TV will enter Standby Mode and LED indicator is white. In Standby Mode, press the button on the main unit or on the remote control to turn the TV on.

How do I stop tv going on standby

hi Shaun.
How do I get my TV out of standby mode? Press the power button once. If the TV does not turn on, observe the LED indicator, usually located on the TV's lower front panel. If the LED indicator turned off after you pressed the power button once, it is in standby mode. Press the power button once again to exit standby and turn on the TV.31 Mar 2015

E Motion LCD TV Model X26/29E won't turn on - seems stuck in standby (red light on). Remote control is OK.

My sisters e-motion lcd tv is locked in, standby mode. I think that replacing the psu (power supply unit) is the answer. but be careful of introducing static damage to the components as you can cause latent component damage and then future repair is not so easy to locate! always make sure that you fault find using the proses of elimination ie start from the begining !! Make sure you have a 240v supply going in and then probe for your outputs.. If your out put measurements are ok then you can eliminate your power supply unit as your problem circuit .....

Tv won't turn on- its in standby mode. the young lad had the remote before it was turned on.... could he have pressed somethin on the remote which is now preventing it from coming on?

Powering up do you hear the relay click then you may see the display flash (not necessarily), but then the TV clicks back into standby mode. If so there is a component failure.
will need diagnosis by a repair shop. Too many different components it could be for me to guess. but
the common repair kit containes1 fuse (F302), 1 diode (D304), the power resistors (R927 and R929 for the board revisions with these two resistors) and the IC301 voltage regulator IC.

TV won't turn on. flashes a series of 5 red lights instead of turning green

Usually Sony and LG Blinking Codes are the same. Here is what I have.
  • Unit is dead, No blinks - Problem in the standby power section. Might check fuse,
  • Continuous blink once a second, no pausing - No reply from the jungle IC301 (data bus is busy, shorted to ground, or held high), IK video path is defective.
  • One blink - not used for the self-diagnosis
  • Two blinks - B+ over current protection (OCP), unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 2 blink fault. Could be a short in the power supply of any of the circuits.
  • Three blinks - B+ over voltage protection (OVP), unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 3 blink fault. This is also a problem in the power supply circuit,
  • Four blinks - No vertical Deflection (V STOP), Screen goes to a single horizontal line then the video signal muted.
  • Five blinks - AKB circuit (automatic kine bias), the timer/standby indicator blinks for about 30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function. Something is wrong with the video. In addition, unit could be in IK blanking, try turning up screen slightly.
  • Six blinks - No Horizontal (H STOP), no raster, goes to the blinking self-diagnosis function immediately.
  • Seven blinks - High voltage shutdown. The high voltage has exceeded 33k and the unit goes immediately into safety shutdown. Check power supply regulation and horizontal circuits.
  • Eight blinks - Problem with the audio (AUDIO), unit goes to standby and blinks the self-diagnosis code.
  • Nine blinks - Panel Module Error or Thermal Error. If it is intermittent 9 blinks, meaning sometimes the TV comes on and other times you get flashing Make sure the regulator is -12 or -13 (negitive).
  • Ten blinks - Check Q8014 and Q8013 for shorts, leakage, or bad solder connections on the " D" board. If the transistors are bad, check R8051 and IC8005, also on the "D" board.
