its a wheel bearing. .will need to be inspected to determine the correct one. Also tires could also do this if the steel seperated internally. Rotate the suspected tire to see if it follows the tire.
the first xbox 360 i ever fixed had the same results as this one, after applying the "x-clamp" fix it worked fine. if it is under warranty, contact microsoft, if not maybe you might want to look into fixing it your self, or searching for companies that fix this online.
Your controller is most likely exhibiting a hardware failure. Taking apart the device voids your warranty. When a button does not work anymore, it is safe to say that you will need to buy a new controller.
The Logitech Chillstream Gamepad is only $20 and works in the same fashion as the XBOX 360 Controller (uses the same xb360 XInput controller driver too!)
try diffrent connectors composite instead of componant or vis versa. the wireless for the controls doesnt work on mine. I havent been able to find alot of replacement parts for the 360. I think you will end up having to send it in or by a used Core system for $200 from ebgames or ebay.. You could also try holding down the power button for 10 seconds. i heard that resets it as well.
