Projection TV sets have two very common problems listed below.
Problem #1) Convergence
These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the
picture to look normal. This is called convergence.
When its out of alignment the video will look
3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the
time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. Convergence problems are very common on all Projection
TV sets including
Sony,
Samsung,
JVC,Philip
Magnavox,
Panasonic,
Akai,
Pioneer,
Hitachi,
Mitsubishi,
Zenith and others.

Hi Doctor Video.
I checked for bridged solder connections with a continuity checker. Found 5 pico fuses - all good. All connections seem to be ok. I appreciate your help: any other thoughts on why the three bulbs would quit working after replacing the convergence ICs?
I too just went through the same repair. I even replaced the whole PCB board with a new one I ordered and my TV still has sound and no picture. Any other ideas on what we could have knocked out by replacing these items. Thanks
while watching the TV the picture got bright for about 5 seconds and then went black. I have good sound and no picture. Any ideas???
