SOURCE: dv2740se Screen blank, if I connect to monitor it seems to

I suggest you to reinstall the operating system once, there might be some problem with the operating system so your screen is going blank before the operating system loads.

You can reinstall the operating system by using the re-installation disc.

Any further issue you can contact me.

I have a dell dimension 4400 and the original graphics card thats came with it but yesterday i when too turn on my computer and the screen is not picking up and image from the CPU is there anything i can...

OK, I am curious how are you going to install a new graphics card without installing a new graphics card? "picking up and image from the CPU is there anything i can do to install a new PCI graphics card with out having too install the new graphics card"

You can install a different graphics card in the computer assuming you have an open expansion slot. If the Current Graphics card is actually installed in the AGP slot open the Main CPU unit and remove it then install the new card. If when you started the computer you saw anything on the screen, the DELL logo or Bios setup, the problem most likely is not the graphics card being bad but possibly that the settings in windows some how changed and it is set to something it can't support or the monitor has gone out. If it is the graphics card and it is built onto the motherboard you will have to install the new card and when the computer starts enter the Bios to change the BIOS settings to disable the on board card or it will give you problems with conflicting resources. Most graphics cards use the same resources so two cards in the same computer will conflict with each other and neither will work. I would test with a different monitor before replacing the graphics card.

9400Gt won't work anymore

Hello tainted feat,

Please download DriverSweeper:
http://downloads.guru3d.com/Guru3D---Driver-Sweeper-(Setup)_d1655.html
Reboot into SafeMode and select the Nvidia drivers and PhysX. Select only those. Do not delete the chipset drivers. Reboot into normal mode and then go here to download drivers.

This should work. Good luck

Fragments appear on my computer screen almost like they are paint

I would have to bet, it sounds like overheating or not enough power to the graphics card. If you have a 500watt+ you should b fine on power. If the PSU is big enouh then its overheating get a better cooler like a zalman VGA cooler w/ zalman video ram heaetsinks. Hope this helps.

A line appears across my screen on my medion laptop

Perhaps your monitor is faulty. You should check it out at a repair store. Also, if you have a VGA connector for an external monitor, try with that. If the lines are gone, that means your monitor is faulty.

Monitor stays black. Says no video.

I'd try running windows in safe mode by holding down f8 at startup. If that ends up working it's probably a setting that is wrong. If all still remains black i'd look at testing another video card and monitor. Either one could be it.

Can't see screen to install diver for HP Compaq WF 1907

My friend just purchase this monitor yesterday. When she plugged it in to the back of the tower she received the same prompt u have mentioned. I was able to repair it because she simply did not realize that I had installed a new graphics card into her pc a few months ago. When u do this, you have to hook your monitor into the area where the new graphics card was installed. You can not plug your monitor into the same onboard card that u have previously plugged your monitor into.
Let me know, if by chance, u did install a new graphics card.
Hope this was helpful :)
