Samsung DLP HLN507W. Lamp is replaced and new. Pic quality is excellent when working. Intermittently picture goes blank. I can tell that lamp is still lit because screen is still slightly lit in a shade of dark gray. Sometimes when this happens three flashing lights, but more recently no error lights - just green lamp light (normal). and just lost of picture. on occasion I will see the colors of the color wheel spinning on the screen, other times I saw white dots. Whatever the symptom, i can always disconnect AC and power on to a perfect pic. Only other symptom is that I no longer hear a fan running when power down. A fan used to run for about 30 seconds after shut down - doesn't any more. I feel like this is not just one problem. Original color wheel, but I have a new spare.

Did u leave fingerprints or natural oils on the lamp? Wipe the bulb off clean. A dirty bulb especially with fingerprints will overheat and will shutdown as a failsafe. Make sure the lamp is the correct part for the tv.
Check the lamp contacts, eventually remove lamp and fit back in, chack that you did not burnt new lamp when mounting it in, you need a multimeter to test lamp.
Sounds like you may need a new lamp according to my Samsung DLP manual for a HLR4667W.

its the problem of inner lamp that is near to end of its life and it needs replacement.and what the thing is happening is the indication of faulty lamp.
