I have a singer dvd player. I have hooked it up to my new 32 inch lg tv. When I try to play a dvd, the picture has a blue tinge to it. I have checked the RGB cables and they are connected right. Please can you help me....Alex

Might be tuned to the wrong output. The big tv has more than one input and is select able. Is there a blue ray selection for TV or input for that device.
Probably the Controller unit for the TV. Try hooking it up through a different connection type e.g. HDMI, component. See if that fixes the issue for the time being. If it dies then those ports you used previously are malfunctioning.

Plz see to it that if all of jacks of dvd player are correctly and firmly inserted into the respectively coloured mating jacks of ur TV. If u still dont get a sound, it will be better if u purchase a new set of jacks.
if it is hooked up with componant, thats the red blue green cables for video, and red white for audio, then you probabily eather dont have the red pluged all the way in, or you have the red audio, and red video---reversed, make sure to check them on the dvd player, and on the tv, if there correct, try using the composit input, that is the yellow red and white
