If it were engine/gearbox you would feel the vibration at a specific rev range (say 3000 to 3500)but you say that when you put your foot on the clutch it gets worse....at 70 mph....so look for something from the tyres, wheels, bearings, rotors, drive shafts,
the first thing is to have the wheels dynamically balanced(up/down/sideways)then check bearings......,going up in cost, always start with the cheapest parts as these tend to go quicker.

I have a mk5 gold tdi. I can't close the bonnet. it seems the catch isn't working correctly. any ideas?

Lubricate and adjust the release cable, latch and at the button. Adust the hood itself if it looks bent or out of line. Sometimes a body shop person can get the metal to fit more snugly.

Ive just had a new clutch put in, but when ive driven out of the garage ive noticed that the cars steeringwheel vibrates an shakes when i come off the accelerator mainly happens in third at around 25/30mph...

I would suspect that the fly wheel was not balanced when it was machined. If this is something it has done ever since you had the clutch installed I suspect something is amiss in way it was installed. If this vibration gets worse, immediately stop driving this car and have it towed to the shop.
