SOURCE: My LG chocolate touch 8575 touch screen is frozen
My phone has done this many times! I have an LG versa, which is from verizon. This is what I did. I took the battery out, and left it off for three days. Turn it back on, and it should work!

I had the same, or a very similar problem. What happened with mine, was the sensor on the upper right corner of the phone was getting blocked. It is supposed to sense when you have the phone next to your face and then it will darken the screen, Mine had plastic that was obstructing it. Hope this helps.

Hi,
It can be deduced from your problem that there is no longer a contact between the inner touch pad and the outer touch screen, hence the touch is no longer responding.
The solution is to take apart the phone and replace the touch screen,
Here is a detailed disassmbly to assist you in replacing the touch screen;
1.Remove your battery, sim and memory card. Six screws need to be removed. Two at the top of the phone are covered by plastic stickers which will peel off.
2.Run something like a credit card around the join of the battery compartment to release it from the rest of the phone.
3. Two ribbon connectors need to be disconnected. Each one attaches like a plug and socket. Just lever them up to unplug. You'll then be able to lift the two green circuit boards away from the rest of the phone.
4. Remove the six screws you can see and then you can remove the next layer of the phone.
5.Run your plastic tool along the join of the front cover in order to release it.
6.Two ribbon connectors need to be disconnected. Again, each one attaches like a plug and socket. Just lever them up to unplug.
7.Lever the camera out with your plastic tool. It is stuck down lightly with double sided tape and should come away easily.
8.Lift the screen away from the front cover. It should be loose. Next peel away the big black piece of sticky tape. Now slide your plastic tool under the LCD screen to separate it from the green circuit board. It will be stuck down with double sided tape. Once the double sided tape has been released, pull the screen in the upward direction.
9.You should now have the small LCD screen removed.
Thanks and take care
SOURCE: lg chocolate touch screen not working
I have a LG Chocolate BL 40. It fell down and cracked its display screen from several loactions. So I got a the cracked display screen replaced with a new one. All seems to be working fine except that when the call comes the answer button which used to display as green gets greyed out and does not lets you answer the call. I have tried upgrading the software as well as a factory reset bit it has not helped. C
Can somebody advise how/if it can be fixed?
