I am experiencing the same thing I cannot get it to even stay on long enough to transfer the 2 pics I got when I first opened it. I tried taking it back but unfortunately it was a gift and I dont have the receipt amd the person I received it from washed it in her pocket, so Im stuck wiht a camera that doesn't work.

i have the kodak easy share c533 digital camera and i put brand new batteries in it and it wont turn on at ALL  and i had used it the week before and now its not working

  • Anonymous Jun 15, 2008

My C533 won't work either. The green light flashes and I can hear a very light clicking noise which I think is the lens trying to come out. I tried new batteries. I don't have a receipt. Kodak self diag website says "they estimate $80 for repair". This is the 2nd time I've had problems with Kodak products and each time I feel the support was terrible and all they wanted to do was have me spend more money. Kodak just ain't what it used to be.... I'm done with them.

Hello, I am not able to turn on my Kodak digital camera, model C533. I have installed new batteries, but all I get is a flashing red light next to the view finder and nothing else, I have used it only twice, since purchasing it.

    What is going on?

Green light goes on when I turn camera on, but 3 red lights flash when I shoot & nothing happens. I tried changing multiple batteries, all alkaline. No luck yet. Any ideas?

The 3 flashing red lights indicate low battery power! This could be because of low battery power (all 4 batteries must be good), the battery contacts in the camera are poor, the make of battery being used (try different make of battery)

Samsung digimax v800

The manual does not indicate what is wrong, when the green light is flashing, other than the flash is charging.
It could be the flash can't be charged, because the flash capacitor is defect, or the battery does not have enough power.
Try switching on the camera while not in automatic mode (M of so) or when in video mode. If the light on the main dial still flashes, I think you should look for another battery. But first try another battery, before you buy one. (Or test the camera with an external power supply. Don't forget to switch of the camera, every time you change the power supply.

Flashing green light

hello, are you sure that you have not left your camera flash on,and virtually killed off the battery?as the zig zag icon usually refers to mostly flash related aspects of most modern cameras, all cameras need a certain base level battery power, before they will switch on for use,but may well display all manner of icon's and oddity's when the power is all consumed.hope that helps, cheers.

Just replaced my batteries and the green light flashed my lens would not come out i held down the power button then thelens came out now the screen wont come up and my camera is off and the lens is out

I have this same camera and had this problem once. Turns out the batteries I used were duds. Try changing out the batteries. I would suggest lithium or rechargeable batteries.

Should the power light be green or red, when I turn camera on it shows a green light then turns red

Red light indicates that the camera is out of charged., Try to charged your battery for 3-4 hrs if you encounter flashing red on a fully charged battery you need to call kodak 1 800 235 6325 ext 12

You can charged you camera using 5V AC Adaptor or a USB cable taht attached into the computer

Kodak easyshare c340 wont turn on

My EasyShare was doing the same thing your post describes, which is how I came to be at this website. I tried the one suggestion of turning on camera (I did so to the 'Auto' setting), then pressing the |O|/i button, which is the button below the 'delete' and above 'menu' next to the screen. That didn't work for me. I then tried the suggestion with the other modes on the power dial, no luck.

I then, from the off position, turned the dial the other way, to the 'favorites' icon, and it worked! I didn't have a memory card in at the time, so it made a noise almost like saying "uh-oh", with the message 'no images in favorites'. I then turned it off, then turned it to 'auto' again, good to go! The lens opened, green light remained on in all modes.

If this helps even one person, I'm glad.

Kodak Easy Share M873 suddenly not working

What happened is that the camera got turned on in your pocket or somewhere and the lens got jammed trying to open up. The problem is that the outer lens ring is not turning all the way and the camera doesn't fully load.

Solution 1: Put the camera into the charger, press the power button so the green light is flashing, unplug it from the charger. The camera will try to realign its lens. (You might have to do this a few times.)

Solution 2: Manually help turn the outer lens ring clockwise when it turns on.
