The printer says the door is open, it doesn't print

try to uninstall and reinstall the program files see if that fixes it

Open "Devices and Printers" in start menu.
Right click printer with green arrow - click see whats printing.
Delete all documents.
Restart computer - then restart printer
See if that clears your error messages.

1. A laserjet 2600 doesn't use "ink cartridges".
2. The toner cartridges are supposed to be open while printing.
3. With the printer printing, how do you know the flaps are open?
The printer will only print with all the covers closed. You are prevented ....from seeing the cartridges while printing.

try the following
1.power on your peinter
2.while press and hold the power button ,open and close the top cover times.

printer pick the paper and print the test page and alignment pattern for black and color.
if any of the black or color alignment pattern is not print ,then u have to change the cartridge accordingly.

Cant help you without knowing make and model.

The sensor which reads the door as open or closed is probably being blocked by something so that it is not registering that you have closed it.

My recommendation would be to open the printer, use a flashlight and try to find if there are any scraps of plastic or anything that might be causing the printer to think it is still open.

If that doesn't work, try closing it gently but firmly, and then use two hands to shift the top back and forth slightly to see if it is slightly mis-aligned.

If neither of those are the culprit, there may be a problem with the door sensor that will need to be examined by a repair person, but that is fairly unlikely.

your door open sensor is not working proper.pls close this cover tightly..

reset printer.

Take the cartridge out and clean the head with dry cloth and reinstall than then try.
also go to menu on the printer and out it back to factory settings.
