You just take off the rail and Tada! it's a Toddler bed.
Then you can change from elmo sheets to Pokemon sheets and Tada! it's a Day/Bed. I don't know how they get away with advertising it as a 4-in-1 since there is no material difference between the daybed and the toddler bed.
just wanted to add- when you raise the mattress height, it's a "daybed" when you lower it, it's a "toddler bed". Not a huge difference, but that's why they say 4-in-1
How do you make it into the big bed? And if there are extra parts where do you buy them at and how much are they or is it just a bed frame that can be placed onto the headboard?
When you buy the Double/full mattress you should get a mattress frame with it. then the back side of the crib bolts on to the frame.
There is a material difference. In the box when I got my crib, there was a small wooden rail. Approximately 1/4 the size in length of the crib. It attached to the crib and acts as a safety rail but I would feel more comfortable adding a different bedrail just so I would be assured that my toddler won't fall out while tossing and turning throughout the night.
I'm looking for the instructions as well but I just had to comment on here saying that there was an extra rail from crib to toddler bed and then take the rail off for the daybed. (Keeping the mattress at the lowest height so the child can get in and out on their own). Then the full size bed. You would need full size metal bed rails to attach to the wood of the original crib rails to make the headboard and the footboard.
