The hardware switch/wlan switch on the front of my laptop does not turn on the wlan. When i turn it on, the green light does not turn on and the wlan does not work. When i try to switch to a wlan network, a dialogue box tells me to turn on the hardware switch, even though it's already switched on.

The Dell Wireless WLAN Card Utility locates, manages and provides information about wireless networks in your area.

Enable the utility through an icon in the notification area of your desktop, or locate it in the programs list depending on which Dell computer you have.

Turn on the Dell laptop and make sure the wireless switch is in the "On" position.
Right-click the utility icon in the notification area of your desktop.
The icon appears as a set of four green, yellow, red or white bars, depending on the signal strength in your area.

Click "Enable Radio."

Right-click the icon and click "Open Utility" to open the Dell Wireless WLAN Card Utility.

Control Panel

Turn on the Dell laptop and make sure the wireless switch is in the "On" position.

WLAN light is off

The light indicates that the radio for wireless internet access has been turned off. On my Sony the light is on the right hand side nearest me. It is green in color. The on off switch is on the left hand side next to the headphone and microphone jack. Yours may be different but somewhere is an on off slide switch. So explore the sides and back till it is located

How to switch on wlan ?

Hi,

You can turn ON the WLAN in two ways. The most common way is by flipping the physical WLAN switch ON. The switch is usually located at the front side of the computer (look below the light indicators at the bottom of the touchpad or at the left / right / side of the computer. On some computers, they're above the keyboard.

If that won't work, you might wanna try a combination of function key (Fn+ wireless key).
For Toshiba laptops it's Fn+F8, and for Lenovo it's Fn+F5, Dell and HP usually uses Fn+F2 but every brand has a different combination so check the F1 up to F12 keys for the wireless symbol.

Cheers,

How do i turn on the WLAN for PSP 3003

On the side opposite of the power switch, you should find another switch. Move this switch up and it should turn on the WLAN. A green LED will light up on the lower left side of the unit.

Hello, I have a HP Pavilion laptop but the HP WLAN is always disabled. How can I fix this problem?

All laptops have a user button or switch to turn the wireless access on or off. Look for a red light above the keyboard; touch it and it should turn blue (that will turn the access on again). Alternatively, you could have a switch in the front or along the sides to turn wireless access on or off. Hope this helps.

Internal error psp1001

This would be one of the first PSP's so it's not a surprise if it has failing hardware. When the wlan switch is switched on is the light turning on and green? if not it might only be a faulty switch for the wifi in the psp itself. you can either open it up yourself and fix it or have someone that knows what their doing fix it for you.
