I have a Maytag Quiet Series 300 dishwasher model number MDBH955AWW. When I press the wash cycle button it starts and then automatically jumps to the rinse cycle. After going thru the rinse cycle for a couple of minutes, it shuts off. After that,I can push the wash cycle agin and it works. Any idea what could be wrong?

Find your circuit breaker for your dishwasher and turn it off for 3-5 minutes. Turn it back on, then turn on your dishwasher. If this works, after the complete cycle of your dishwasher, you have to turn it off manually by pressing "on" botton then press it 1 more time to cancel; this will turn off. The defect is, probably the moisture built up in the control board causing it to ground some of the connections. Suggestion for the manufacturer, insulate the control board to prevent absorbing moisture.

If you are able to select a wash program but Start does not function, then most likely the door switch is not making proper contact. Check the door switch item 4 in this diagram.

I had the same issue try hitting delay 1hr and start the 1hr was solid not flashing and an hr later it's running just fine. Think I need a new control panel but for now this is working.

replace the door latch and the handle check to see if the console loops that hold the latch are broken if so replace the console

Check whether the door is getting closed fully. Try pushing little hard. If the door close switch problem it may work.

Contact service for help if u can not proceed further with electrical circuits. Micro-controller board to be checked!

Hold down the heated-dry button for 3 seconds and the light will clear.

i would say it's a serious internal problem ...not a simple fix ...call for service

check the float switch on the righthand side on the bottom in the corner it should click and move freely

Your problem is: You have a maytag quiet series 300. When it is done with any of the cycles in leaves about 1-2 inches of water in the bottom of the dishwasher. You can manually hit the start button twice and it will go through a 2 minute cycle and pump out the water. You have cleaned the filter inside the dishwasher where it drains and have checked the hose to the disposal and it pumps out fine. It just doen't pump itself at the end of the cycle.

It sounds like a bad control board. It's in the top of the door panel. I don't recomend this repair to the average homeowner. You might consider the Repair Directory to find a repairman.

Try pressing heated wash, heated dry, then heated wash, heated dry. It should reset it. Also try pressing and holding the cancel button for 5 seconds to see if that works if the other doesnt.
