I have a Woods Decora time we use on our bathroom vent fan. It is preset for 5-10-15-30 minutes. It now runs for 5-10-15-30 SECONDS! How can I fix it?

There are no repairs for electronic wall timers.
Timers have 1 year warranty against defects in workmanship. This sounds like the case here.

Try timer on different circuit and see if same malfunction appears.

Woods is rated for 1/4 HP and will handle bath fan, so load does not sound like a problem.
Timer worked before, so wiring is correct.
Power outages can knock out timers when the power turns on again and timer is exposed to surge.

View countdown timers:
Electronic Leviton 6200 series and Leviton LTB series are more robust than Woods.
Mechanical rotary-type timers have no electronics, and last many years without problems.
Buy locally: GE countdown timers are sold at Home Depot. Advantage of store-bought timer is hassle-free warranty: buy new timer and return defect timer in new package.

I've installed a 60-minute Woods timer 12842 (digital) in my garage but it switches itself off prematurely over and over. I notice when it is on the little green 10min timer light clicks & dims ever so...

Open following link to identify timer for sure, download on-line manual, and read wiring instructions.
ttp://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#59000

1) Manual says 1000Watt Tungsten (incandescent) and 1000Watt Ballast (fluorescent)
2) Timer is powered by electric circuit and not internal battery, so cold garage temps will not affect operation
3) Check wiring against instructions shown on link above, except your other timers work fine, which indicates correct wiring.
4) Buy cheap circuit analyzer at home center, and test receptacle on same garage circuit
5) Try moving known-good timer to same location and see if problem persists.
6) I test timers, and some in-wall and plug-in timers arrive defective, and some go bad quickly, most have 1 year limited warranty, some last 5-7 years.

Despite the fans working on a plain Jane single pole switches, I can't get these 6515M switches to work for my 1.3 ceiling fans. The fan hums and all I get on the timers are red LEDs. These timers...

1) Leviton 6515 is incandescent only:

2) Below is list of countdown timers with horsepower rating so they work for fans:

GE15088 countdown timer is rated 3/4 hp

Intermatic spring wound countdown timers are rated for 2 horsepower

Woods spring-wound countdown timer says bath/ ceiling fans, but doesn't give horsepower
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Wood-59700-series--spring-wound.pdf
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#countdown

Woods push-button countdown is 1/4 horsepower

Wattstopper RT50 at Grainger shows 1/6 horsepower rating

3) Following timers are NOT rated for fans:

Lutron MA-T51 countdown timer specifically says it cannot be used for motors.

Pass and Seymour RT1 countdown does not show rating for horsepower, so this timer will probably not work for fan motor

I have a woods in-wall digital timer #59007. When I wired it to the light it clicks on and off every few seconds and doesn't allow me to program it. I connected it to a single light switch - not a 3-way....

You wired timer incorrectly:
I think you put red and white wires together.
See timer and wiring instructions plus on-line manual at following link:

Switch not ticking after setting time. model Woods 59717 60 minute indoor in wall timer

Spring wound countdown timers turn on the load after dial is turned.
If your timer is not counting down, and turn knob is not rotating back to the start position, then timer is no good.
This timer counts down even if it's not connected to electricity, so the problem is not wiring.

Need connection diagram Thks

The following diagram is for timers with green, black, white, and red wires:
If your timer is different, add a comment with model number.

geno_3245_66.jpg

Manual says:
Timer-black-wire to Hot; Timer-red-wire to Load (lights)
Timer-white-wire to Neutral.
Here's what to do
1) Timer-green-wire connects to bare ground wire.
2) Switch has 2 wires. Take switch wires and connect them to timer-black-wire and timer-red-wire. Choose either one for now.
3) In back of electric box are white wires twisted together and covered with wire nut. Connect timer-white to these wires.
4) If electric box does not have white wires described above, then connect timer-white to bare ground.
5) Turn on electricity, and push manual override button. If lights come on, timer is wired correctly. If lights do not come on, then reverse timer-red and timer-black wires.
