One month before I brough Transcend 25M 500GB external hardisk. It was working fine . Suddenly one day LED glows but drive is not showing in the explorer.
I think after installing storejet elite software this problem happened .

the attributes of your files and folders have changed, go to folder option, then click show hidden files, also uncheck show system protected files,..........download some attribute changes software for changing the attributes
Perhaps you should download updated software of your external hard drive. If still not working maybe your external hard drive is not supported by your OS or isn't compatible with your OS.
Use partition magic 7.0/ 8.0/ 8.2 or advance, make new partitions and then format it. Sure, your problem will resolve. Let me contact for further more information.
understand one thing....all USB devices act funny now a days....it's common...so i suggest u try it out on another machine...or on a different USB port...

For that case you need to detouch the enclosure of that device there must be something wrong with the enclosure. No worry the disc inside of it is not affected. You need to get the support coming from your reseller because I believe it was still under warranty.
If you're using the original XP version it wasn't able to format the correct size of the hard drives. You need to find a version with Service Pack 2 and boot off that CD in order to format the correct size of the drives. You could also boot off a Vista installation CD and format the correct size.
