Cloths were soaked !Won't restart, door locks and you hear a buzzind sound ??

to release the door lock you have to pull the outer door and inner door away from each other at the top. if you have a wood panel, pull the handle of the wood panel away from the stainless steel inner door panel. you will notice the outer door panel will move out about a quarter inch. you will then hear the latch pop open. once you do that, close the door and select your cycle as usual.

The machine knows it dint't finish the washing cycle, and, because it may be possible that water is still a lot inside, the door is locked.
If you are shure the door can be opened without the water coming out by the door, simply disconnect it from the electrical supply and wait a few minutes until the door unlocks. (you will hear the unlock click)

Your Maytag Neptune Washing Machine displays error codes, also called "help codes," to identify specific problems with your washer. Once you close your Maytag Neptune's door, the machine locks the door, goes through the selected wash cycles and unlocks the door when the laundry is finished. The "FL" code indicates that the washing machine was unable to lock the door after you closed it. Open and close the door tightly, then restart the washing cycle.

If the code remains, reduce the amount of detergent in the load. Use less detergent for similar loads of laundry in the future.
PF
5. The "PF" code indicates that a power failure has occurred. Restart the wash cycle. If the code still appears, check that the washing machine is still plugged in to the electrical outlet.
Nd
6. The "nd" code indicates that your Maytag Neptune is not draining as it should. Check that the drain hose isn't kinked and that the stand pipe isn't clogged. If you find either of these problems, fix them before restarting the washing cycle.
LO
7. The "LO" code appears when the washing machine has finished the selected wash cycle, but cannot unlock the door. Verify that the door is closed properly, push the "Off" button, and wait two minutes. The door should unlock and the error code will disappear. If the error code remains, unplug the washing machine, wait two minutes and plug it back into the electrical outlet.
Lr
8. The "Lr" code indicates that the washing machine's motor is not running as it should. Have your Maytag Neptune washing machine serviced by a certified Maytag repair professional.

Before proceeding to spin the timer does a check on the lid switch.

You should be able to fix the problem replacing the lid switch.

it sounds like there is either an obstruction in the pump, or the load is getting off balance during the spin cycle. two things to try, fill the washer with no cloths in it, when it starts to agitate, stop the cycle and put it in drain/spin cycle. the water should be out in under a minute. its hard to see because the door locks, but you can hear a difference in the pump when its out, or after 60 seconds, press cancel and open the lid to check. if the waters out in that time, the pumps ok. then run it through the spin diagnostic with a load of cloths. make sure the cloths are wet, and a normal load you wash. this will check to see if the load is getting off balance, and shutting down during the spin cycle. let me know if you still have the problem. good luck, shane

check to make sure the door is locking when it should. If the door isn't locking or sensing that its locked the washer will not go into high speed spin.

Try taking the top of the machine off and checking all of the electrical connections, including the one to the door lock. I have to do this about once a month with my machine and it seems to work.

F9=Overflow Condition
If the Overflow contact on the pressure switch is Closed for more than 60 seconds and Overflow condition will occur. In an Overflow condition, the Door will remain locked, and the Drain Pump will run constantly, even if PAUSE/CANCEL is pressed twice and the Display is cleared. Unplug the unit to service.



Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or inked.

Check Wire Harness connectors to the Drain Pump, Pressure Switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU)

Check/Clean Drain Pump Filter of foreign objects

Check for Drain Pump Failure

Check the Inlet Valve for proper shut off

Check the Pressure switch for proper operation
