I get a message hand-set not in range. No charge light. Hook up appears OK. Second home phone works properly. Prior to problem I tried to dial a local no. but entered 8 nos. Phone says searching or connecting. Appears to be a Uniden problem in the hand-set. Phone was operating OK but stopped suddenly.

Dialing the 8 numbers should not cause a problem.I have a few suggestions, you may have tried a couple already.Hang up the problem phone on the base unit for about 30 seconds. If that does not help, remove the battery for a few seconds and try the 30 second hang up again.Try unplugging the base unit for a half minute.I am trying to get it to reset itself and link to the base.Is the second phone part of this system too?We had a Uniden and I personally thought it ended up being garbage and will probably never buy another one.If you end up deciding to buy a new phone, the new technology is DECT 6.0 and is supposed to have better range from the base, clearer sound to name a few things. The strange thing about it is that it operates at 1.9 GHz.Also,if you decide on a new one, google DECT phones. There are all kinds of forums about peoples opinions/ratings of ones they have bought and used for a period of time.If you have any questions, just comment on this post and I will get an auto email saying you posted.Good luck! Greg

Pulsar Chronograph 100 m - The second hand on the left small dial (not the sweep second hand of the stop watch) has begun moving erratically. It appears to move for two counts and pause for three and then...

If your watch is solar powered the second hand performs this characteristic when it's in need of a charge. Try placing your time piece under a bright light for short time or in direct sunlight and see if this helps you with your problem.

No dial tone on hand set battery is new lights up

Make sure your connection to the phone jack is secure.
Use another wired phone to make sure connection is good to your phone.
Secure connection in back of phone, and plug it in. The base MUST have power to transmit the signal to the handset even if the handset has a fresh charge.
Although the handset is normally linked to the bases, check to make sure via the instructions. To determine if the base recognizes the handset, press the "LOCATE HANDSET" button.
If the hadset responds, the links is there.

Hope this helps

Searching and out of range message keep appearing. Can't dial out or receive calls Uniden Dect 6.0 (both phones) Tried to register base but unsuccessful.

Hi,

This is because of the following reasons

1.The handset is far away from the base unit.Try to bring the hand set near the base unit and try.
2.The base unit is not plugged in to the power supply. Please check it.

Thanx

Handset No2 displays out of range message

Please check that you have correctly registered the second handset to the base. It may be necessary to de-register the second handset and then re-register it. "Out of range" just means the second handset is not within range of the base phone it was registered to.

Handset out of range - message

We totally unplugged the phone, made sure the battery was charged and reset the phone as though it was brand new, in other words started from scratch. It seemed to work and the phone is O.K. now

No dial tone and "line in use " message

Try the simple things first. Try a different phone. In my case, I had the phone company check - outside was fine. After two hours my phone worked. I figured out what happened in my case. Both phones were dead (battery). I think one died with the phone off the hook. once the phones were fully charged, the phone worked.

Can't use the second phone GE model 25861GE3 5.8

You may have several problems. First, you should verify that the 2nd phone works. Unplug the battery from the "good" phone and place it into the "bad" phone. Then try to reset the "bad" phone by placing in the homebase charger for 2o seconds.

If this doesn't fix the 2nd phone, then it has an internal problem, possibly.

As far as the 2nd charger goes, please verify that it works by placing the "Good" phone in it to see if it will charge it.

Additionaly, you may need to "reset" the whole system. Do this by :
1 Unplug phone line, power to charger base, and remove the batteries.
2 Wait a couple of minutes.
3 Plug in battery first, then phone line, and finally the power cord.

Then try to set the phones in the basecharger. (If the new battery is not charged yet, then you will have to charge it first!)
