Cannot find staples for this staple gun. The model I have just says PowerShot on the sides. I purchased some Black & Decker PowerShot heavy duty Staples for the gun but I cannot find anyway to get them loaded? There is a part number on the staple package - 97-018. Can you help?

Of course the manual states to use their staples for best results.
However it does at least state it is designed for a wide variety.
Most hardware stores have a range of staples to choose from.
Home Depot, Harbor Freight, Lowes etc. Try a chisel point this may help penetrate the wood deep enough. All staples are not made the same. So again trial and error may be the quickest route. Fortunately you can purchase small boxes for your testing.

Bring it back to where you bought it. If you have this problem.....many people have the same issue!

What width staples go in this gun ?

I have a box of T50 staples here labeled 5/16 , 8mm, but they are too narrow when dropped in to the channel in the stapler.

On the lower side of the powershot unit. It should read: use only genuine Powershot or Arrow T50 staples or Brads. I hope that helps. Good luck.

I have owned a Black & Decker Powershot before. Throw it away. They are **** . Stick with a Arrow or Craftsman. I didn't like the Black & Decker and gave it to a friend that was looking for a staple gun. He threw it away ! Worst excuse for a staple gun I've ever seen. Awkward to use and preforms on a scale of 1 to 10 , doesn't even hit 1 !

You have the right size staples. The problem is the length of the refills. Some staplers can't accommodate a full length clip.

Break the staple refill clip in half, then insert it. The shank will be able to close and latch that way.

They load point side down, into the center track of the loading tray. (Same place as staples.) Hope this helps
