Scanner was Locked, but now I CAN'T PRINT!

Open the scanner top cover and you should see the lock/unlock switch on the right side(on the side where adf is). Make sure you set it to "unlocked" so it can move freely. If that doesn't help, there may be a broken gear on the scanner bar.

Sorry, but there is no way to "unlock" or modify the frequency coverage of the BC92XLT or any other recently-manufactured scanner. Your only option is to purchase a scanner designed to include the frequency range that you are after. There is a green switch located under the scanner area of the machine. You will also see a diagram of locked and unlocked padlocks. Just slide the switch to the unlocked position. Hope this helps.

Hi, what you want to do is, first; (shutdown) your Scanner, next (shutdown) the computer. Disconnect the scanner, and unplug it from the outlet. Disconnect scanner cables from the computer; Note: do not change anything on the computer. Reconnect cables to the computer. Plug scanner back into the power outlet; turn on computer, turn scanner on. This may clear the (Freeze); but the (Error) might appear again. Thanks paul7of9

The manual for your scanner doesn't list any type of global unlock procedure. Acording to it you will have to manually select each locked channel and press the L/O key. This should change the display from L/O to l/o.

To unlock a scanner open it where you would put cartridges in and look for a red or green colored tab hanging down. There should be a little picture of a padlock. You can switch it from lock to unlock. It's kept locked to protect the scanner during shipping.

Normally that is an issue with the ribbon cable from the scanner to the main board if the latch is in the correct position.
I would securely reseat that cable, bias it somewhat upward.
Check the ends of that ribbon cable to be sure a portion of the silver print isnt pealed back.
No reset code for that. The scanner may have failed also. The sensor inside the scanner may be bad.
You can try going to the Xerox.com site under drivers and downloads and load the newest firmware. But I doubt that is an issue.
Only other thing i could think of would be the scanner not returning to the full home position due to an obstruction.
Or the scan head itself being out of the rail latch, or even the end of the scan head could be broken, not scanning straight.

2. lift the scanner unit until the scanner support holds it. To the left and beside the scanner support is the scanner lock
3.pull the scanner lock toward you to unlock the scanner.
4. close the scanner lid.
5. power on.
