Sounds like the Thermister is shorted. The instructions for repair detailed are below. -- SWT
SAFETY NOTICE: Be sure to disconnect power to the appliance before
attempting any repairs. If you are not comfortable with doing any
voltage checks that might be recommended, please contact your local
service provider for repairs. Be aware that there could be sharp edges
inside the appliance that could cause injuries to yourself.
The E2 error code indicates an defective thermister circuit.
This type of testing will require using a multimeter to check the resistance of the thermister. I have provided you with instructions from the service manual in the image attached below. Be
sure to disconnect power to the dryer before attempting repairs.
