An eMachines logo, Windows logo or "no signal"

eMachines manufacturer, if the monitor issue is not resolved.
Usually e-machine and other pc's have a factory restore setting set up in case of an error. You can; according to emachine tap the "Alt" and "F10" keys at the same time when the eMachines logo appears. Press "Enter" and follow the directions on the screen to recover the operating system back to factory condition. I hope that helps, if those keys don't work try F11 at the emachine logo. Good luck.
If you can see the windows logo screen both your computer and monitor is working, possible problem could be that the display settings are set to high that your monitor is unable to handle it.
Restart computer and keep tapping F8 key.
This will take you to the advanced options menu
In the list of options here choose enable low resolution mode and hit enter (you can only use your keyboard to choose - use the up / down arrow key)
once you enter windows low res mode change it to 800 X 600 and restart the computer
Once you are in the right mode now change the display settings accordingly.
It sounds like you may be trying to load a lot of temp files.
Go to CNet.com download Advanced Systems Care "Free Edition"
Follow the directions to clean up your system.
If that does not fix the problem Download a copy of Glary Registry Repair (also free) and run that.
These are two of the best software packages to have.
I have been useing them both for a long time, and have tried others, but these two are far and away the best I have found- and they are free!
Try a different monitor. Most likely your having operating system issues that cause the monitor to do this. Also - try this - As you turn the machine on tap the DELETE key - this will take you to the DOS platform of the computer. If the screen changes to anything you have operating system issues. Try a repair with the original disk or the operating system disk that was last installed.
open your cpu cabinet. Then Refix RAM memory. Pull cmos cell from motherbord chipset for 15 minutes then all motherbord bios settings are defaults. Then check.
Sounds to me that theres a good chance that the windows files are corrupted. It is possable that its could be hardware, but software is free so start there.
If youve got the recovery disks then put them in and restart. Just attemp a repair of your windows. its worth a shot. you may need to go into your boot setting to boot from disks.
if you havnt got them and you havnt got warrenty them youll have to format the drive and install a fresh copy of windows, and find all the drivers from the emachines after.
1st get all the stuff off the drive that you need/want, take the drive out and connect it to another pc or use some sort of external connection.
then find a copy of windows that matches the licence sticker on the case of your pc. throw the hdd back in and boot the disk, format the drive and install windows.
