HP Photosmart 3310 Printer Logo
Dale Posted on Aug 12, 2010

My problem is a weird one. My family has had a Photosmart 3310 All-In-One printer for a while now (I'd say about 3-4 years), and it's worked fine until recently. Now, the light is on around the on button, and I'm sure the printer is on because the Copy button on the printer is lit up. Problem is, the printer won't print, won't scan, won't copy, and I need something printed, copied, scanned, and emailed tonight. Suggestions?

Hi, I suggest you do a full system reset on the printer and see if that fixes anything. Please do the following. Come back and check with me if it doesn't work.
Performing a semi-full reset of the All-in-One

  1. Use the Power button to turn on the product.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
  3. Press and hold the # button and the 6 button.
  4. While holding the buttons down, plug the power cord into the back of the product.
  5. Continue to hold the buttons down until the control panel display goes blank.
  6. Release the buttons, and then use the Power button to turn on the product. The reset information appears on the control panel display.

Do i need a memory card for 3310 photosmart all in one

Yes you will need a memory card because the memory on the HP is full. You can delete all the memory in the Hp but need to buy a program to do so. So in the long run it is cheaper to get a memory card for it and it will work just fine for you. Have a great day.

My HP Photosmart 3310 will not pick-up A4 glossy photo paper in the main tray. 6x4 works fine in the photo tray

Your printer might have opening area for clearing paper jams, also on that area there are some rounded parts that do actual picking-up of paper. Clean those parts with some non-agresive cleaning agent and try again.

Print head proplems on the hp photosmart 3310

ok, if you are using old cartriges, might want to try some rubbing alcohol on a tissue. This has worked on a number of cartriges in the past when i start getting missing pins. it lubricates the holes so in can flow again.

Take a q-tip and do the same if there's any kind of print head, but most print heads these days are built into the cartrige.

Photosmart 3310 is on network but not recognized wirelessly

Sounds like another Vista Bug, i would check the HP site for this issue and if its under warranty, contact HP. If you have alot of Blue tooth devices hooked up, it may be that its trying to use another device in its place or the signals are getting crossed, im not positive.

Its like when you have to many network drives all hooked up and you plug in a USB device, Windows pops up those anoying bubles saying its detected, but in My computer it doesnt show.

So bassically you have to right click my computer, manage, disk management listed uder storage, right click on the device or drive and change the drive letter to something like " W" or " Z" or anything not in use.

It may be a siomilar case with your bluetooth, youo may have to much stuff connected. Try redoing everything like you have so many other times before, and then limiting how many bluetooth devices you have connected at the same time. see if theres a difference.

Hope this helps.

Printer problems for HP Photosmart 3310

Try running antispyware and virus program to eliminate this, housecall is online, thorough and free. It removes it too. Try and see if updating the actual drivers help off HP website. Check settings to see if it is not accidentally set to only print test page or to work offline or similar, uncheck tabs if they are.
