What do you do when a tmobile tap cell phone says sim card not inserted and there is one inserted but its not working

Important: Stop if you receive an error message. The device may lock permanently if you enter the incorrect code multiple times.

1. See if your phone is eligible to unlock: Mobile Wireless Device Unlocking.
2. Contact Customer Care to request the Mobile Device Unlock code for your phone.
3. Verify the IMEI by typing *#06#.
4. Insert a Non-T-Mobile SIM & turn the phone on.
5. The phone will automatically prompt you to enter the code into an empty field.
6. Click/Tap in the empty field above the "Unlock & Dismiss" options (this will display a key pad on the screen).
7. Input the unlock code provided by T-Mobile.
8. Click/Tap Unlock.
9. The phone will display Network Unlock Successful.

I bought a new samsung t239,anytime I insert a sim card it reads wrong sim card.

You may have a bad SIM card. Tmobile may give you a new one or you can buy one for about $20. Then call them to have the IMEI number switched over.

This phone is NOT 3G compatible (it's just it's name ...) if your Tmobile card is 3G it will not work. All CECT phones are factory unlocked !

I am a tmobile customer and it works for me. One thing I know to make sure your SIM card insert position. For SIM card slot at the bottom, make sure the gold-colored contact facing upward. For SIM card slot at the top, make sure gold-colored contact facing downward. At the first time, I put it in a wrong position and gave me the 'No service" error. Good luck

dont worry there is some prblm in ur sim pls contact ur customer care there is no prblm in ur phone

The "insert sim" error is a common error. Usually it is caused from putting the sim in incorrectly.

Try this. If this is the one with the sim card ports that are on top of eachother than put the sim card in the port closest to the phone with the gold side pointing up.

Insert battery, turn on phone.

On the phone, go to the main menu. Tap phone settings. Tap dual sim settings. Tap to open sim 2. Go back to the main screen.

If that does not resolve go back to phone settings, tap dual sim settings, tap to open sim 1, go back to the main screen.

If this is the type of phone with the sim card ports seperate, insert sim with gold side down in either port. Go to phone settings, tap dual sim settings, tap open dual sims. Go back to main screen.

If this problem persists than either the phone or the sim is defective. Test the sim by putting it in a phone that belongs to the carrier the sim came from. If it works in that phone it is not the sim.

I assume you are asking about unlocking your phone. If you are a tmobile user than any tmobile sim will work in your phone even if your phone is locked. When a foreign or different compatible sim is inserted your phone will ask for the unlock code if your phone is locked. When you have an unlocked phone it automatically accepts the sim and does not ask for the unlock code since your phone is unlocked.

Unfortunately it will not work. TMobile uses GSM technology while Sprint is on CDMA.

You need the sim card that's the same as the cell phones provider in order for it to work
