Have kx t7633 corded system - on just one of the phones in the house, the message ringer lamp remains a solid red all the time. Is this an intercom message left on that particular phone? how do I erase it so light goes out?

For a KX-T7633 press the up arrow to increase the ringer volume (up or down arrow adjusts the volume). Some phones (KX-T7625) also have a ringer ON/OFF switch on the back of the unit.
You need to cancel absent message on your phone. The method depends on which Panasonic phone system your phone is connected to. Following are the methods for three different Panasonic phone systems. Once you cancel absent message, your screen should return to date and time, if not then press * until it does.
KX-TA624 Phone System
Press intercom button, dial 750#, lift handset then return handset to cradle to end.
KX-TA1232 Phone System
Press intercom button, dial 7500, lift hanset then return hansdset to cradle to end.
KX-TDA100 or KX-TDA200 Phone Systems
Press intercom button, dial *7500, lift handset then return handset to cradle to end.
Of course it will, you just have to know how. Press the MESSAGE button and look at the display. It will tell you where the message came from and one of the soft keys will be CLEAR.
In Panasonic's funny way, they let you call an extension and press the MESSAGE button or DIAL the digit "4" and it sets the message waiting lamp. Kinda stupid (the 4 part) but "it is what it is" :-)
Press PROGRAM and the C.O. or intercom button twice. The UP/DOWN navigator key will change and play the tones (30) or you can dial a number. ENTER or SAVE saves it. You have to do that for each line and each phone.
1) Press PROG button. 2) Press CO or INTERCOM button twice. Choose between 1-30 type of ring tones. 3) Press ENTER or STORE button. 4) Press EXIT or PROG.
On the intercom dial *71x1 where x is 0 for all calls, 1 for outside calls and 2 for intercom calls. *71x0 cancels, or you can just press the FWD/DND button until it goes out.
