The overlay is bad. You will need to replace the whole console because nordic track does not sell just the overlays. you can get the console at iconservice.com or check on ebay

My Nordictrack Exp 1000X turns ON, but doesnt move. I push Level 1 or 3 or etc and it doesnt move.... Please Help !!!!!!! Thanks. Monica.

Hello, it’s never a great sign when the machine powers up but the belt doesn’t turn over. best case scenario is it has blown a fuse on the lower control board. With the motor cover off and using a torch you should be able to locate the fuse (about 15mm long) on the lower board, a blown fuse will look broken or blackened. If the fuse looks ok then it’s very possible the damage is coming from the lower board and will need replacing. Quite often this will have a burning smell.
Oh, another idea. Is your safety key in?

How do i enter an exponent on the

It depends on the base of the power function.
For exponential function use [SHIFT][LN] (e^x) followed by the exponent value. If exponent is negative use the change sign +/- key before exponent.
For a general power, type in the base (number), then press the [Y^x] key followed by the exponent.
For a power of 10, use the [Exp] key. Careful here. For example to enter 1.6x10^(-19), type in 1.6, press the [Exp] key, then the change sign key +/- and the exponent. Press [=]
1 . 6 [Exp] +/- 19 [=]

2001 jeep grand cherokee laredo, lights come one intermittently, horn came on unexpectedly and wouldn't turn off. How do I fix that?

Lights intermittent can be caused by switch or relay. Try swapping the Low Beam relay with another similar relay (horn relay is a good choice) to see if that resolves it. These relays are in the Junction Block--may be under the hood or in the car but not in the big box by the battery). If this doesn't fix it, the problem is likely the headlamp switch.

Horn coming on is usually caused by a broken switch or stripped wire insulation inside the steering column. You would usually have to take the steering wheel off to fix it, and this requires special tools; however, if the problem happens to be under the steering column shroud, you may be able to fix it without taking off the steering wheel. Take the shroud off and see if you can follow the black/red horn wire. Follow it as far as you can to check for stripped insulation contact with any metal. If you lights switch is bad, you can also change that while you have the shroud off.

Please let me know if you have questions.

Certain keys on the Gyration GC15CK keyboard have stopped working

If this is hardware problem, it'd be hard to repair. I don't mean it's not repairable, but what i mean is i don't recommend since repairing a keyboard and purchasing a new item will cost you more or less the same.
Well try this, Press Fn + Numlock (simultaneously on both the keys) on the keyboard and check if it helps or not [press once and then type the malfunction keys, if not press twice or thrice]. Most keyboard with Fn key's functions can be deactivated or activated with this key combination.
Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

IBM Thinkpad 18594AU exp R52 intel pentium M740:

Most PC Laptops have a function key that you use in conjunction with other keys (normally the function keys) to access special features. You can try using this key along with the monitor key (normally has a symbol of a monitor on the key) to see if you can activate the external monitor feature. If you can not locate the keys and it is Windows XP or newer, the display properties (accessed from the control panel) should have a setup for dual monitors and you may be able to enable it in there.
