I have a Frigidaire Stove, Model # FGF316ASA. It was changed from propane to natural gas. The oven works well. The burners, however, will only burn a low flame. Is there a solution for this?

When converting an appliance from propane gas to natural sometimes a technician will drill the orifice to a larger size rather than replace the orifices. Either way is fine, but sometimes the orifices don't get drilled to the correct size. The regulator must be on the propane setting if it is a convertible regulator. If your oven is working fine.... the top burner orifices probably need to be checked that they are the correct size. A simple fix.

Stove converted from natural gas to propane burners work fine but oven has about 8'' of yellow flame and comes up over diverter into oven. air shutter makes no difference full open or full close and...

The orifice, holes that the gas comes out to the burner)s) for the oven was not changed out.Gas is measured in inches, Natural gas runs abourt 5-7 inches of presure, Ppropane runs about 12-15 inches of pressure, much more. The orifices, holes that the gas comes out, for natural gas, are larger to send more gas to burner. With propane, the orifices are WAY smaller, because the pressure is much higher.

Top burners are propane. we are used to propane heating really fast. this stove seems really slow. 5minutes to boil litre of water. burners are having hard time lighting.

If it is new fromt the factory, you many have the natural gas (methane) jets in the burners. You will need to check your bag of parts to find the propane parts (LP parts). LP jets allow a different fuel/air mixture to burn at the right heat. Check the owner's manual for details how to make the change.

Please rate me - Good luck.

Ge propane kitchen range changed to natural gas.can't get the ove

Hi, Did you flip the cap on top of the regulator? As far as adjusting the bake/broil orfices, all you will nee to do is turn them 2 full turns counter clockwise. Start the oven and watch the flame. It should have blue tips as much as possible.
You might have to raise or lower the orfice adjustment as needed.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Oven burner flame is low

0000000.jpgOn top of that safety valve is a nut. Get a good fitting wrench. Turn on the oven and use that good fitting wrench on that nut. Turn it counterclockwise till the flame comes up about midways of the flame spreader. Don't get the flames too high. Midways of the spreader now. LOL

Change from lp to propane on my whirlpool stove

Propane is LP...(i.e. Liquid Petroleum)

The burners are working only as a fluke. It is extremely dangerous to operate a natural gas stove on propane. STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY. Call your local propane supplier and ask them about converting it to LP/Propane.
