Question about Beverly Hills Polo Club Watches

1 Answer

I have a man's gold 52250 with SR626SW battery about a year old. I bumped it and chipped the crystal. Is it possible to get a new crystal? I have a local place that does all my batteries and bands that could probably install the crystal. Please advise.

Most watch warranties do not cover crystals of course, so my best answer to you is to take to local repair. But the following link is access to BPC if you would like to try to find out from them their policy and such. Good luck

I have a EH-23GA Gold E Howard watch that I purchased from Amazon.Com 5/16/11. While working on my lawn mower I must have bumped the crystal on something. It chipped a flake off the inside at about 2...

you can get the crystal off, but not back on. There is a special tool that is used to compress the crystal to make it fit in the bezel. Besides, if a piece chipped off, it is no longer waterproof. Take it to a jeweler and he can put a new crystal on in no time. Crystals are not expensive.

I have a Police Phalanx watch, black and rose gold effect. The glass has a couple of scratches and one of the rose gold markers has come away at the 10 o'clock position. Would it be expensive to repair...

If the crystal of your watch is made of plastic, it may be possible to buff (or pay a jeweler to buff) it. Buffing a crystal is very inexpensive--sometimes free--and may eliminate the scratch, or, at the very least, greatly reduce its prominence. However, glass crystals cannot be polished in this way; the only way to fix chips or scratches is to replace the crystal, which can run anywhere from $15-50+, depending on the type of crystal and amount of work required to replace it and test for proper water resistance. Replacing the mineral glass crystals on some diving watches can be very expensive.
Markers on a watch dial are ordinarily stuck on with little pins and/or a dab of adhesive. If the detached marker is still in the watch, this is ordinarily a fairly simple repair. The watch would be opened and the movement removed. Next, the jeweler would carefully place the marker back into position, probably adding a tiny drop of glue to keep it in place. A job like this can cost as little as $25, if it requires no replacement parts and you take your watch to a place that does a lot of watch repairs, as opposed to a general jewelry store that has to outsource the repair to a wholesale workshop.

I have a geneve quartz 14k gold mans watch dont no how to take apart to put battery in.

mcdevito75 here, Battery usually lasts 1 year and longer, even if you did change the battery yourself now, you"d forget for a year or even longer next time battery needeed to be changed, I know I did. Add to this you can easily destroy your watch with in-correct handleing. BEST BET, look for a small watch repair shop in your area for this battery change $10--$15.00 and peace of mind.

I bumped and chipped the crystal. Is it possible to have a new crystal sent to me?

mcdevito75 here, That may depend on the watch and the maker of your watch, as sometimes a new crystal is only available thru the watch manufacturer, if so, the watch manufacturer may want to install the new crystal themselves. If your crystal is made by an after market company then yes you could get a new crystal sent to you. Look for a small watch repair shop in your area to find out for sure.
