Lcd broken - Kodak EasyShare V1003 Digital Camera

Need to take camera in nearest local camera repair shop to replace broken lcd if available because broken lcd has no other option except to replace it.

If ur screen is got hit by any object or LCD screen noticeable,broken not worth fixing,because the tv compannies sell the LCD screen same as a new tv.If the tv is normal use video just die.Than replaced ur LCD inverter board to get picture back.

Is the LCD monitor broken with a cracked screen or is it just not displaying an image?
If the screen is cracked then it needs to be replaced.
If there is no image on the screen and it is not physically broken then the fault could be an inverter problem or a faulty CCFL lamp.

You're going to have to send it in for repair. They'll be able to tell you how much it'll cost. Unfortunately, LCDs are not, strictly speaking, user-servicable parts.

most are. you need to open the lcd and get the model number from the back of the lcd itself. you will need manufacturer, model number and revision number.

if the glass is not cracked, you may simply need a new backlight.

Are you sure the LCD is broken? or the touchscreen?

Broken LCD screen is quite easy to replace on the FE-170 and FE-210. I have purchased cameras with bad lens but good LCDs on ebay pretty cheaply( compared to having Olympus repair camera).
